Testimonials

I've met a lot of tennis coaches in my time, but few as committed and enthusiastic about what they do, as Kris is. He's always looking to learn and add to his repertoire and is happy to share his thoughts and experiences with others. We have worked together on several projects including Set4Sport and Tennis on the Road and he never fails to inspire and impress. I'm sure his website and his workshops will give you lots of ideas to enhance your own coaching skills. The best way to learn is to work alongside someone who knows what they are doing. And Kris knows what he is doing.

Judy Murray, former British Fed Cup Captain

I have been working with Kris in a coach education capacity for approximately 4 years. Kris is very interesting as he combines a systematic and creative mind, which is not a common trait in the educational world. This is important when designing coaching resources and delivering workshops. I learned a lot working with Kris both on tennis content but also by observing the way he works and thinks. With his work ethic and professionalism, I am sure that any project he will embark on will be of quality and reach the objectives aimed at.

Louis Cayer, ITF coaching commission, international coach and speaker

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Kris in both a coaching and coach development capacity. As a coach Kris has a lot of knowledge and is able to pass this on to the players he works with. As a coach developer he has helped me with my own development since moving from playing to coaching and I like the way he makes theory work in practical situations. It’s clear Kris is very passionate about tennis and he has now entered the world of tennis media with his own podcast and I look forward to listening to what he has to say!

Colin Fleming, former top 20 ATP doubles player and Tennis Scotland National Coach

Working with Kris has been a defining moment of my coaching career. Coaching in Germany has made our work mainly through Skype or email and throughout my journey with him I've always felt he's right here with me. His ability to take all the thoughts and ideas and even doubts I have and organise them into a pathway for me to follow has changed my coaching for the best. His positive attitude and willingness to help I've never seen to this degree from any coach I've met. Having coached in 5 different countries in my 9yrs as a coach, Kris has been the biggest and best influence on my career to date.  With Kris I have found the mentor I've always wanted but also gained a friend.

Robert Senic, academy coach for Alexander Waske Tennis University, Frankfurt, Germany

I was lucky to start working with Kris at the age of 7. He worked with me from then until the age of 16 when the LTA asked me to train in London. We travelled together to lots of tournaments in the UK and abroad and I honestly don't think he once said a negative thing to me about a single performance no matter what he must have felt. He is extremely passionate about coaching and only wants the very best for his pupils of whatever standard or age. I always make sure I catch up with him whenever I am home from college in the USA and he is always interested in my tennis. He is a great guy and a wonderful coach and I think people should listen carefully to his advice as he knows so much about tennis.

Joanna Henderson |  Joanna was British no.1 in U12 & U14 age group, Reached no.10 in European U14 rankings, was part of the British Team which reached the final of the World Championships with Laura Robson & Jessica Ren

We were put in touch with Kris some years ago at a local talent ID event when our son, Patrick was around 7 and we have never looked back. Kris has coached our son in squad sessions and individual lessons and his progress has been fantastic. Kris has a wealth of knowledge and experience to draw on which he uses to turn around any tennis related problems whether these are technical or mental. Kris' approach is firm but fair and players respond to his manner and work hard while still enjoying their lessons. Our son is frequently complimented on his excellent technique and asked "Who is your coach?". Kris also takes a keen interest in the "whole person" and much of his "on court" learning has benefitted Patrick in other ways in day to day life contributing significantly to the mature, balanced young man he has become. We would recommend Kris to any player who is keen to improve their tennis.

Alison Young, Patrick is now Scottish U18 singles and doubles champion

From the age of 4 until the end of my competitive tennis career, aged 21, Kris was my only coach. His support, dedication and his wealth of knowledge helped me achieve many goals including winning both Junior and Senior Scottish titles, competing at British nationals from Under 12 to Under 18, competing in Futures events and representing Great Britain at a World University Event. His passion, dedication for the sport and desire to improve my game was clearly noticed during our hundreds of lessons making them both challenging and enjoyable, and most importantly allowing me to reach our set targets. I turned to Kris for advice again when I became a tennis coach, his knowledge in this field is also second to none helping me improve my confidence and lesson delivery skills greatly throughout this time. I could not recommend Kris more highly, both as a tennis coach and as a coach mentor.
